Headteacher’s Welcome!

As the Headteacher of Irlam Primary School, I feel privileged and honoured to work in such a supportive, caring environment in which every child is valued and given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Our school has a real family feel to it as you walk around – and a happy, harmonious ethos pervades throughout.

Our Vision is to be outstanding in all areas – and our three core values of ‘Respect, Achieve, Aspire’ – help us to strive towards this goal. One of our favourite sayings in, ‘Reach for the moon! Even if you don’t get there, you’ll land amongst the stars!’

We have a dedicated, committed and experienced staff who pride themselves in their consistent hard work to provide a safe, stimulating and exciting curriculum for the children – leading to good progress and high standards of teaching and learning.

We also have very supportive parents who work in close partnership with the school in order to ensure that our children have the best possible start to their lifelong learning journey.

Our Governing Body are involved in the life of the school and are committed to support and challenge our work, striving for excellence in all we do.

We boast an extensive range of extra-curricular activities ranging from cookery and gardening – to streetdance and dodgeball! Something for everyone!

But please don’t just take my word for it … we would love you to come and visit us! See for yourself what a wonderful school we are!

Irlam Primary Bake Off!02Apr2025

2:45 pm - 3:45 pm

Thank you in advance for ALL donations of cakes—homemade or shop-bought. When my children were at Primary School and we were asked to do something similar, I confess to buying shop scones, dusting them with a bit of flour, giving them an ‘imperfect look’, and putting them in a tin… shocking confession, I know! I’ve been waiting a long time to admit to that one!  Please bring all donations into school on the morning of Wednesday 2nd April. Children can take them into their classrooms – or if you prefer to bring them to the school office, that’s fine too  For any homemade offerings, please avoid nuts and label any other allergens. We will open the hall doors (which lead to the Infant playground) at 2.45pm if you want to come and buy cakes before picking the children up. Alternatively, you can pick up and bring the children around to help you spend your money!
